Once the basic movements have been perfected, the class will move on to intermediate and advanced skills such as the Traditional Tai Chi stance, Pushing Hands and the application of Self Defense Techniques.
Tai Chi is appropriate for all ages and is a natural and healthy way of fighting off stress and anxiety. Additional benefits include improved balance, increase in strength and endurance, less pain and stiffness in the body, and enhanced sleep. A typical Tai Chi class includes a warm-up segment, the instruction and ability to practice forms, and breath and energy work, also known as qi gong.
